1. Is the public welcome?

The public is warmly encouraged to attend all concerts and hymn sings sponsored by the Rural Musician’s Forum.

2. Is there a charge for concerts or hymn sings?

Concerts and hymn sings are offered without charge. A free-will offering is taken which assists in underwriting these programs, however. RMF depends on the generosity of attendees and others in the community to make these programs possible.

3. What kind of music is presented at summer concerts?

A wide variety of musical traditions and formats is represented in each season’s concert series – a “patchwork quilt” of fine music. In 2012, classical, jazz, Americana and Tex-Mex and opera are featured with single performers, instrumentalists, as well as soloists and full chorus.

4. Who sponsors the concerts and hymn sings?

The Rural Musicians Forum (RMF) sponsors the concerts and hymn sings with generous support from individual donors and the wider community.

5. Where can I find information on past concerts?

Archived information on past concerts and selected performers will be made available on this website as it becomes available.

Summer Concerts

1. When are summer concerts?

Concerts are held on Monday evenings June-August each year. In 2012, the dates are June 11, 25; July 9,23; August 6,13. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.

2. Where are the concerts held?

Most concerts are held at Unity Chapel, south of Spring Green off Hwy 23 on Hwy T July 9 and August 13 concerts are performed at Hillside Theater, Taliesin, Hwy 23, south of Spring Green.

Wyoming Valley Hymn Sing

1. When are the hymn sings scheduled?

Hymn sings are held on the first Sunday of each month, July-October. In 2012, they are scheduled for June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, and October 7. All hymn sings begin at 2:00 p.m.

2. Where are hymn sings held?

Hymn sings are held at the historic Wyoming Valley Church on Hwy 23 between Dodgeville and Spring Green.
